Port Stanley Terminal Rail

The village of Port Stanley is located on the Northern edge of Lake Erie about 30 miles south of London, Ontario. The rail line operates scenic train rides over seven miles of the former London & Port Stanley Railway. The train runs all year between Port Stanley and St Thomas, Ontario.

The railroad has been operating for 25 years with only volunteer help. The most interesting thing about this hour-long trip from Port Stanley to St. Thomas and back is that the line uses four diesel locomotives dating from the 1940’s and 1950’s. Take note that passengers are only boarded in Port Stanley for the round trip.

Station hours are Saturday to Sunday 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
